Tips menjawab IELTS speaking part 1 questions
Pada speaking part 1 IELTS, kamu akan menjawab dengan ringkas pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang sifatnya personal yang terbagi menjadi tiga hingga empat topik.- Hindari menjawab dengan hafalan
- Jangan memberikan jawaban terlalu singkat maupun terlalu panjang
- Berikan uraian ringkas mengenai pertanyaan yang diberikan
- Jika menggunakan istilah selain bahasa Inggris, sertakan penjelasan
- Apabila tidak tahu bahasa Inggris dari suatu kata, cari alternatif lain atau pilih metode menjelaskan
- Jika ada kata-kata yang tidak dimengerti, tanyakan artinya kepada penguji dengan menggunakan kalimat bertanya dalam bahasa Inggris yang utuh (jangan hanya mengerutkan dahi atau menunjukkan mimik wajah tidak mengerti)

What do you do every day?

Geography helps us see beyond sights. Imagine visiting a desert and knowing how it was formed millions of years ago. It’s just… cool.

What do you do for a living?
I work as a journalist, covering news from across the country. There are always many incidents, events, and even everyday occurrences worth reporting, especially in a country where many issues are not comprehensively nor thoroughly addressed. So, I dedicate myself to raising awareness about what’s truly happening in people’s lives. It’s deeply fulfilling to have the privilege of witnessing stories before anyone else and the responsibility of sharing them with a wider audience.

Do you live with your family?
Yes, I live with my family and it’s definitely a big one. Grand, perhaps? We share the house with around 15 family members. Even my great-grandparents live with us. It’s a large family, but we are very close and supportive of one another. There’s a strong intimacy built between us. By the way, it’s a Balinese-style house. And by that, I mean both in the architecture and cultural aspects. The house has several separate sections so even though there are 15 of us, everyone still has their own personal space. Don’t worry!

Do you have a lot of friends?
Honestly speaking, no, I don’t. I am quite introverted, so I have just a few people I can really connect with. I have three close friends and I met each of them at different stages in my life. Interestingly, they all know each other too. Let me tell you what’s fascinating. We don’t regularly meet, but they have always successfully showcased what true friends really mean. They are super busy, in fact, but when it comes to supporting one another, they never fail to impress me with their sincerity and willingness to help.
